Patients Want Electronic Medical Records

We just published one in a series of articles derived from our NIH funded study of consumers' use of patient electronic medical records.  In this article we report on how enthusiastic underserved consumers were to hear that EMRs are coming.

Our next article will report on the actual readability and usability of systems.  Again working with underserved, low literacy consumers we conducted task and health literacy load analysis of 3 systems, and then conducted usability testing with 54 consumers.
